Quotes from WGHAA teachers:

“I wasn’t sure about this at first, but now I can’t wait to see how fast I can get this into my classroom!”

“I’ve been looking for something to get my students engaged in how math applies to the world, and this is it!”

“Marvelous opportunity for our school.”

“This is the way to connect students to a broader perspective in global health.  And it’s a new way to bring math and science into the classroom.”

Pilot Schools

Four Washington State schools were selected to participate in the program including: Blaine High School in the Blaine School District, Cleveland High School in the Seattle School District, Health Sciences and Human Services High School (HS3) in the Highline School District and Toppenish High School in the Toppenish School District.

The WGHAA schools were selected based on class size and student need.  Other criteria included availability of teacher participants and level of support of school administration.  Our schools have demonstrated strong commitment and terrific interest!   For more information on school demographics and the OSPI Report card, click here…
